OVERVIEW

GoSmart is an AI-powered aquaculture startup that uses big data to improve the sustainability, efficiency, and profitability of fish farming.

The company’s all-in-one integrated solution is the only tool with real-time monitoring for any kind of fish species and farming methods (cages, ponds, RAS). It collects data from cameras and sensors in fish farms, which is then analyzed by AI algorithms to identify patterns and trends that can be used to improve farm operations.

GoSmart’s AI-powered solution enables fish farmers to predict fish growth and health, optimize feeding schedules, identify and prevent diseases, and reduce water pollution. This improves fish welfare by decreasing stress and mortality, and minimizing the use of antibiotics and overfeeding.

GoSmart’s system also reduces water pollution and negative environmental impact, generating an overall result of improved sustainability, efficiency, and profitability in fish farming operations.

GoSmart was founded in 2020 and is based in Kfar Saba, Israel. The team is led by a board and CEO Joseph Melchner, who believes that overfishing (fishing too much) is a “critical issue that could affect us all eventually.”

GoSmart is powered by the NVIDIA Jetson platform for edge AI, and is a member of the NVIDIA Metropolis vision AI partner ecosystem and the NVIDIA Inception program for cutting-edge startups.

GoSmart systems have been deployed by Skretting, one of the world’s largest fish feed producers, and it is a qualified member of Fish 2.0, a global community of innovators and investors in the sustainable seafood sector.
